Chestnote is contextual messaging. Instead of messages that disappear after a few seconds, Chestnote messages appear in the future and at the location the sender chooses. In this way you can lure friends to specific places in the world or you can make your girlfriend look forward to receive a surprising message. E.g. a message that can only be seen at your birthday in your favorite restaurant in New York? Or maybe a nice picture from your girlfriend that can only be opened when you arrive at work?

The app is very user-friendly and it’s super easy to invite others to get the app. Create a message, pick the time and/or location lock and invite anyone you want in your friend’s list. The ones without the app will get a personal invite link by text message! The closer your friends get to the time and/or to the location, the message thumbnail becomes less blurry.

Don’t lose sight of your life’s goals

The main idea behind the app is that all the annoyances, conflicts or small problems we face in our everyday lives (should) pale in comparison with our true goals in life.

The issue I faced, as many others, is that I tend to lose track of what I desire most, exactly because of problems here and there. One approach is to start writing down your goals on a sheet of paper, which I did and it worked; for a while, because I eventually started overlooking said sheet of paper.

I then tried using to-do apps, or habit tracking apps for this purpose. But this isn’t something to be checked off, something to record progress of, nor a habit to build; it’s a mindset change, if you will. So I ended up building Goalee to add long/mid-term goals and remind myself about them on a daily/weekly basis.
