Auto generate boilerplate code for your Java unit tests
The Squaretest plugin for IntelliJ IDEA allows you to generate a test-class for your Java class with one keyboard shortcut. The test-class contains boilerplate code to construct the instance of the source-class and initialize its dependencies. The test-class also contains a test-method for each public and package-local method in the source-class; each test-method has code to invoke the corresponding source-class method and compare the returned result to an expected value, when necessary. Squaretest supports creating test-classes in either Java or Groovy using the following test frameworks: JUnit4, JUnit5, AndroidJUnit4 and Robolectric3. You can customize all aspects of how the test-classes are generated by creating your own Apache Velocity template.

Why did you create VLondonCity?
We felt that the other options out there just weren’t doing it for us. They were either too bloated and outdated or pushing some agenda. The amount of free lunches that go on behind the scenes of successful reviews on big sites… You would be surprised at how much grease the wheel gets, lets just say that. We thought we could look at things from the outside and provide a fresh insight and that’s just what we did. The consumers seem to appreciate it too.
Why did you choose London over every other city?
Three reasons. First of all, we all live here. It’s an area that we know very well and have the expertise to really cover. When you’ve seen many of the best attractions in person before you even get to researching, it really does help. Second, it’s one of the very best in the world, a really diverse and accepting place. There are few cities that can wow us as consistency as London does. Lastly, because it’s a place where innovation can thrive. It’s a ruthless city, but also one that will welcome the bold.
Do you feel that being from the area is a big advantage?
Definitely so. Our lead writer is pretty passionate about the city and it makes a difference. They’ve been to so many of the places you would never read about anywhere else, which is why we’re able to show so many hidden gems. When you live and breath every inch of a city, showing it off to the world is a lot more simple.
Who the target market for VLondonCity?
Everyone really, but particularly those that want to go off the beaten track. For those that just want to see the typical sights and do it without hassle, maybe ignorance is bliss. Anyone who wants to see what the capital really has to offer though, would do well to read about the attractions we list. You’ll find some real surprises in there: our writers are very much in touch with the city and its secrets.
If you could go back and do it all again, would you do anything differently?
We probably wouldn't have tried to run before we could walk. It was immensely daunting at first, to see all of those blank categories waiting to be filled, all needing research and photography. Specialising early on, and really focussing on one at a time would have allowed us to be more specific with our marketing. In the end it worked out, but there was a time when it looked like we might crumble under the weight of our own ambition.
