Paced Email

Paced Email is a programmable email forwarding service to bring calm back to your inbox.

Do you receive regular emails that are too important to unsubscribe? Buffer yourself from them by wrapping them.

While email is an indispensable tool, it can become a productivity drain at both work and home. Checking email can quickly develop into a habit.

According to several studies, “random intermittent reinforcement” is a significant factor of technology obsession. It’s the behavioural undercurrent that keeps you compulsively checking your devices. Each time you receive an email, optimal productivity is lost, and it becomes hard to refocus on the task at hand.

Paced Email aims to help reduce distraction in your inbox. By batching up frequent emails into paced summaries, you’re able to concentrate more effectively.

How it works:
- Grab your username
- Create programmable email aliases on the fly
- Use your aliases on sites that send you emails too frequently

At the end of each period, a single email is sent to the real email address containing all of the messages the alias received over that timeframe.

Examples:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

More ideas are on the roadmap and will feature in due course.

I’d love to hear your feedback or suggestions. Which sites would you use your aliases on first?

Location: London, United Kingdom
