PicketFencer is a web application that helps homebuyers find a hometown that fits, based on insights from the people that live there.

Our website, PicketFencer.com, is the only comprehensive guide to the NYC suburbs, containing profiles for over 600 towns throughout New Jersey, Westchester, Connecticut, and Long Island. Our powerful search tool allows users to filter by region, commute time, school rating, walkability, and affordability. We then combine that data with social content from Instagram, YouTube, Yelp, and Twitter to go beyond the numbers and provide a qualitative picture of each town’s personality. We also offer a blog, discussion area, and even a concierge town-recommendation service for those that need more help finding the perfect hometown.

The PicketFencer team is made up of veterans from the start-up and digital agency worlds and is led by founder David Leibowitz. David was inspired to create PicketFencer when he moved with his wife and young daughter from New York City to suburban New Jersey. He found that there were few resources available online to help families pick the right hometown, and decided to create a better way.

The exciting new social network and content platform

Unitymix was started when one person felt that while technology’s such as smartphones, laptops and high speed internet promised to connect people they were doing anything but, and were in actuality isolating people from one another. In the face of that isolation unitymix was conceived as an idea that could turn the tide, and bring back the human element to the new tech age. With the proliferation of media in today’s internet fueled world, we have all these pictures, movies, and songs floating around. Most of them happen to be isolated from any sort of human connection. That is where unitymix comes in.
